Tenafly Police Department

Our Police Department began the process of searching for a new CAD and RMS system several years ago. During that time, we met with numerous vendors offering a wide range of services. We ultimately moved away from our previous dispatch system because it failed to keep pace with necessary updates, which negatively impacted both functionality and customer service.

After evaluating multiple options, we selected Enforsys. From the outset, we worked closely with David and John, both implementation specialists and system administrators. They presented a reliable platform that met the needs of our medium-sized department and delivered exceptional value in terms of usability, functionality, and overall performance. We began the onboarding process several months prior to launch, during which John provided critical guidance while helping us build the system’s infrastructure. As our go-live date approached, the Enforsys team ensured that we were fully prepared for the transition.

Our department requires a three-service approach for CAD and RMS, with integration across police, fire, and EMS dispatch and records. The system successfully met all of these operational needs.

During launch week, Enforsys deployed a team of active and retired law enforcement professionals and dispatchers to our headquarters to train officers and support staff. They spent several days on-site providing hands-on instruction, and as we went live, they remained present to ensure a smooth transition and address any issues in real time.

The system itself is not flashy—and that is a strength. It is practical, efficient, and built for real-world public safety operations. Our dispatchers, who regularly use multiple platforms, consistently report that Enforsys is the most streamlined and intuitive system they work with. From a records and case management perspective, the system excels at organizing and consolidating documentation. We have seen significant cost savings related to paper and file storage, as many reports and forms have been successfully converted to digital formats that are easy to access and transmit. This has also improved our response time for records requests and increased overall efficiency.

What has impressed us most, however, is the level of customer service. It is invaluable to know that when an issue arises, we can reach a knowledgeable, in-house professional who understands both the system and law enforcement operations. Even months after go-live, the implementation team has remained engaged, responsive, and receptive to feedback and improvement suggestions.

One notable example involved our overnight parking portal, which needed to be temporarily disabled due to an impending storm. John, our primary point of contact, was able to assist immediately. That request ultimately led to the development, beta testing, and deployment of a new system feature within just a few weeks—no small accomplishment in the CAD/RMS space. This responsiveness speaks volumes about the team’s commitment to both their product and the agencies they serve.

Like any system, there are always opportunities for improvement. What sets Enforsys apart is their willingness to listen, adapt, and actively support their clients. Their guidance throughout the transition significantly reduced the burden on our department.

As we approach one full year on the system, we are pleased to report that both the performance of the platform and the quality of support have remained consistent. The system has proven reliable and has meaningfully improved our operations compared to our previous solution.

I confidently recommend Enforsys to other agencies, due in large part to the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by John, David, and the entire implementation team throughout our transition and beyond.
